Final Countdown...

'til you have Build A Cure and you are playing it every night before you go to bed. Ok, maybe not that often, but having a great time when it hits the table!

The boat is coming to port this week and I will be pushing the shipping team to have a quick turn around from receiving the packages to shipping them out. I can't wait to get them into your hands. So, make sure you fill out the 48-hour shipping email that was sent out through Backerkit a few minutes ago. Check your junk or spam in case it got sent there. Once the 48 hours is up it will be EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to change your shipping info, so please make sure to do that ASAP!

There are like 15 people that haven't filled out their surveys, so if you are one of them, stop what you are doing and fill out the survey in Backerkit so you can get your games on time! I sent out a reminder email to those individuals this past weekend, so there should be some fresh items in your inbox.

I will be hosting a plethora of giveaways for those of you who will receive a physical copy of the game. To enter you will need to post pictures of you playing Build A Cure and tag Sky Developed Games, giving it a review on BGG, and posting about the pre-order store! Each one will give you a different number of entries, so stay tuned!

When we get closer to the shipment I will send you all the details, but make sure you get your selfie sticks ready, cause there are going to be some big $$$ games on the list! To give you a hint, there will be gloom, panic, mansions and maybe even some good ol' fashion saving the world! Plus, I will give away some more copies of Build A Cure, cause who doesn't want to give that as a present?!?!

As always, hope you all have happy gaming until you can get Build A Cure and have INCREDIBLY SATISFYING COOPERATIVE GAMING!!!

Shipping Update
about 2 months ago – Thu, Jan 31, 2019 at 01:39:28 AM

Hey Everyone!

I want to share a quick update with y'all. It looks like the shipment from the factory went out later than I had planned. This will push delivery back to March, but I will make sure we do everything we can to get it to you ASAP. I know many of you were hoping to get it in February, and I'm so sorry we wont be able to make this deadline!

I don't have anything exciting to share about Build A Cure. The stage we are at now is the waiting game for the cards to make it across the ocean.

But there is some exciting news! I am working on a few more games and would love to get some early stage playtesters to try it out. If you are interested in playtesting any of my future games, send me an email at I would love to get a list going to send out some samples over the next few months. I may even do some game giveaways on my social media accounts leading up to the new games, so make sure you follow along!

As always, let me know if you have any questions!

One more quality check and they will be on their way!

Happy New Year Everyone!

I hope each of you had a wonderful holiday season! I am excited for this year because Build A Cure will be delivered to all of your houses!

We are right on schedule to get these shipped from the manufacturer in January. I am waiting to receive the final Production sample of the game to give the approval to move forward with shipment. From there it will be brought to Florida to be consolidated with the special edition cases, then shipped to your home! (Or to another distribution center if you are in UK or AU) This still puts us on schedule to deliver all of the copies in February!

If anyone has any questions, please let me know! Here is the picture I just got from the plant...

I can't wait to punch out those markers!

Boxes, Rulebooks, Cards & Timeline - Update
3 months ago – Sun, Dec 16, 2018 at 12:05:30 AM

Box & Rulebook

Things are still moving along. I finally got the samples from the manufacturer! The rulebook and the box look great! They turned out so much better than any other prototypes I have received thus far.

When I got the cards open I immediately noticed the color was completely wrong. It didn't seem to be a file issue, but rather a print quality problem. I immediately contacted the manufacturer to figure out what was going on.

The cards were made on a "smaller" printer to avoid shutting down the larger printer to just make 1 sample, so the quality will be very different from the production copies. Phew, what a relief. BUT, I am not okay with going off of the assumption that the production printer is going to be better quality. After discussing it, they will be sending me one more copy of the cards to review. The cards will be shipped out Monday, and I should have them soon after (5-7 days is my guess - depends on shipping with all the holiday shopping going on).

Where does this put us? Well, because this error was due to the manufacturer process it will not affect our schedule. We will have the games made before the Chinese new year, so although the samples are taking more time, that has not pushed back our expected production dates. Woohoo!

Anyway, that is all I have for you today. Here is a picture of the prototype! :)

Things are moving along...

Hey Y'all,

Sorry I haven't updated you in a good bit. Things have been busy with the holiday season, and there hasn't been much to update on. I hate getting too many emails, so I figure I will save your inbox when possible. ;)

So the pre-production sample was slower going than we had originally planned. The plant took longer on the sample because the plastic stock isn't used as often. Anyway, the sample is currently in transit and will hopefully be in hand within the next 1-2 weeks. Once I get them in I will be quick to review, update y'all, and hopefully approve the sample for production.

The Special Edition cases are mid-way through production and should be finished ahead of schedule! So no issues there!

Anyway, that is all we have for you right now.

Until next time...
